David Allen “Matt” Sewell, 29, a resident of Englewood, TN assed passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home.

He was born on November 4, 1990 in Nashville, TN. He enjoyed playing basketball and football.

He is preceded in death by his adopted father Johnny Lee Green, biological mother Cynthia Robin Sewell, and one cousin Thomas Cody Hopper.

Matt leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter Joselyn Arabella Sewel and her mother Lacey Nichole Land, adopted mother Debbie Green, two brothers Micheal Napier (Ashleigh) and Stewart Thomas Green, one sister Sonya Green, uncle Mark Hopper (Trina), special cousins Blaklee Adison Green, Braylon Napier, and Josh Green, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, March 1, 2020 from 6-8 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. The funeral will be on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the funeral homme chapel with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Mars Hill UMC Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
