Funeral services for Mrs. Morris , 73 of Jackson will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday March 1, 2020 at Meridian Baptist Church. Bro. Larry Kirk will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Janice Morris was born on February 1, 1947 weighing only 3 pounds, to the late Raymond Jessie and Mary Grimm Stanfil. She was a fighter from the start. She grew up in Bemis and had many fun times hanging out at her parents restaurant, The Snowball Cafe on Patton Block. She married Joe Morris, on November 7, 1962, at the young age of 15. She and Joe loved to travel and she loved the mountains. Her deep love for her family was amazing. She fought a long hard battle with cancer, but she never lost her Faith with our Lord and Savior. “Let Go And Let God was her belief. Janice was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a devoted member of Meridian Baptist Church. Other than her parents she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter; Hillery Kay Collins. She is survived by her husband; Joe Morris, daughters; Karen Collins (Travis), Lisa Gibbons (Daniel) grandchildren; Kristen Hemby (Grant), Kourtney Leech (Randall), Dustin Cupples (Amber), Hailey Fielding, Gracie Gibbons, great Grandchildren; Connor Quarles, Hope Wood, Ryker Leech, Gavin Cupples, Bryce Cupples, Tenley Hemby, and Ford Hemby. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Meridian Baptist Church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM, also at the church.
