Mr. John A. Guin, 57, of Benton, Louisiana, passed away peacefully, March 1, 2020, in Bossier City. A Graveside service will be held in his honor at 10:00 AM, March 3, 2020, at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, Louisiana, with Deacon Mike Wise presiding.

John was born April 5, 1962 in Anchorage, Alaska, to Jerry and Evelyn Guin, where Mr. Guin, Sr. was stationed in the military.The family eventually returned home to Louisiana and John graduated from Airline High School, in Bossier City.

Upon graduation he took up a career as a Machinist and spent years working for Inland Container Corporation, keeping the plant running, as they produced corrugated boxes, in Minden, Louisiana. In and above his work, Mr. Guin had other passions. He loved hunting and fishing. Above all else, he loved his family and spending time with them.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Brock Guin, and one brother, Ronald Guin. Left to cherish his memory are: his father, Jerry D. Guin, Sr.; his longtime girlfriend, Charlene Costello; his daughter, Melissa Guin; granddaughter, Elena Barlass; brothers: Dean (& Melinda) Guin, Jr. and Mark (& Kandace) Guin; Charlene's son Nolan Carter; niece, DaKeena Guin; nephews: Taylor Guin and Brad Guin; several aunts, uncles, & numerous special cousins; and the few fish that he: "Let Off The Hook". We will all miss him.
