Larry Blackwell Fite, a lifelong resident of Decatur, passed away on February 27, 2020. He was born on December 15, 1961 to Mr. and Mrs. William Roy Fite, Junior. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Eyster Fite and his children, William Charles Fite, Eliza Fite Todd (Clarke), and Evelyn Fite Bell (Connor). He is also survived by his siblings Carol Fite Lawton (Richard), Jan Fite Ennis, William Roy Fite III (Ginny), and Paul Jack Fite (Sammie).
Larry worked at Gobble Fite Lumber Company before opening his business, Food Fite, for which he had a passion. Larry was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. The funeral will be Monday, March 2 at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 2:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Decatur City Cemetery and a reception afterwards at his home.
