Obituary for Jimmie "Peachy" Davison

Jimmie Lee “Peachy” Davison, 69, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on February 28, 2020. He was born April 30, 1950 in Centerville, Iowa to Glen Orlando and Marie Rifenberry Davison. He married Pam Smith on September 18, 1971 in Moulton, Iowa. He worked for Northeast Power and Light in Palmyra, Missouri for 25 years and then Performance Pipe in Bloomfield for 10 years before retiring in 2015. After retirement, he worked part-time hauling rock for Johnson Trucking.

Peachy enjoyed hunting, camping, tinkering in his shop, and watching all kinds of racing. His family was the most important part of his life and he loved spending time with them. He was a loving grandfather and went to all his grandchildren’s events. He also enjoyed his many friends and was a member of a Coyote Hunting Association. Peachy was the type of person that never knew a stranger and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Davison of Bloomfield; daughter, Katina (Steve) Palen of Ottumwa, Iowa; son, Clayton (Felicia) Davison of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Shelby Motykowski of Bloomfield, Ella and Nora Palen of Ottumwa; sister, Carol (Elmer) Davis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Dave (FloAnn) Davison of Hiawatha, Iowa; and tons of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Patty Morgan, Shirley Leyda, Leanna Duncan; and two brothers, Donnie and Jake Davison.

Peachy’s wish was to be cremated. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. A memorial has been established to his family.
