NEIL EDWARD DAVIS Neil Edward Davis, 44, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away January 8, 2018. Neil was born November 14, 1973 to Bruce E. Davis and Shirval H. Davis, in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated in 1993 from Lee's Summit High School, Lee's Summit, Missouri. An Eagle Scout, he was a warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Neil was an extremely intelligent and charismatic person. After high school he attended TCU for his freshman year. Always one to seek out truth and other life paths he left college and traveled around the United States and Canada until 1996 when he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and then onto St. Louis, Missouri. In 2010 he moved to Texas and settled near Galveston and then bought a house in San Leon, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father Bruce and Mother Shirval and Grandparents from both sides. He is survived by his Sister Traci A. Lauritsen and her husband Joseph Lauritsen and a niece and nephew Marliss Lauritsen and Van Lauritsen; Brother, Brett A. Davis and his wife Melisa Davis and three nephews: Blake E. Davis, Bradley A. Davis and Bryce P. Davis. Neil was impressive with his astounding intelligence and kindness and heart. He enjoyed many friends from the internet and twitter to the community around him, you could not help but love him. Neil was smart, funny and had amazing laugh, he also had a fantastic ability to have an opinion on everything. Neil adored his 3 dogs: Tonto, Ivan and Dingo. He raised Tonto from a puppy, the other 2 were strays. Often he would drive his golf cart to the beach and enjoyed watching the ships coming in and on the horizon. He also loved going to the grocery store to get ingredients for the slow cooker and stocking up on treats and toys for his dogs along with spending time in the yard grilling and playing fetch and tug-of-war with them. He was loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 19th at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
