Fred Jay Young, 62, passed away February 21, 2020.
Fred was born on July 25, 1957 in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1976. As a Boy Scout he earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout.
He married Jennifer Austin on August 4, 1979. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and Grandpa. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.
He was survived by his mother, Louise Young; wife Jennifer Young; daughter, Melissa Homer and husband Andrew; son, Brett Young; daughter, Natalie Pemberton and husband Andrew. Three sisters Bobbi Welke and husband Bill, sister Terry Young, sister Candy Roady. He has 5 grandchildren; Loghan, Riley, Raegan, Caelyn, Vaughn and Great-Granddaughter, Everlie.
Services: His celebration of life will be Friday February 28th from 2-4 p.m. at the Shawnee Civic Center 13817 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66216
