Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 2, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Stacey Stone and Pastor Jeff Williams officiating, with interment in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Chauncey.
Vickie was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of World Outreach Church in McRae, a 1972 graduate of Telfair County High School, a retired purchasing agent of Dodge County Hospital for over 42 years. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed going to church, reading, trips with her sisters, and being with her family. Vickie loved her work and was a dedicated employee. She was the daughter of the late Corene Williams and Alton Morris Williams and was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Williams and Dwayne Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years-Joey Johnson of Eastman; Son-Jeremiah Douglas Nesmith (Melanie Brooke McNair) of Cochran; 2 step-children - Jody Johnson (Clara) of Gray and Amanda Johnson of Kansas; Granddaughter-Jordyn Maycee-Lynn Nesmith; 5 Step-Grandchildren-Ben, Zander, Gavin, Aubrey and Bentley; 4 Sisters-Peggy Selph (Warren), Patricia Staples (Thad), Gloria Williams, all of Milan, and Cynthia Smith (Chris) of Dexter; 2 Brothers-Dwight Williams (Melinda) of Milan and Earl Williams (Jane Dollie) of Hawkinsville; Mother-in-law-Maryse Johnson (Stanley) of Eastman; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law-Cindy Lucas(Jesse) of Cochran, Carol Smith (Roger), and Carl Johnson (April Dolan) of Eastman; Aunt-Linda W. Railey of Cochran; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
