Services for Christine M. Lewis (Hickey), 101, of Coolidge will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Billy Majors will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lewis passed away February 27th at her residence. Born December 8, 1918, to the late Henry Clay and Fannie Martin, and was affectionately known as “Big Mama” by her family. She left this world at 101 years of age singing with the Angels and praising her Lord and Savior. She worked with Coats of America for 25 years and retired in 1980. She was a beloved mother and homemaker, loved to serve anyone that came to her door and her hobby was making quilts. She raised 6 children; Geraldine E. Wilson of Coolidge, Dorris Hickey Cox, of Coolidge, Mattie Cleo Foster of Pensacola, Florida, June C. Brogdon of Cairo and Charles V. Hickey and wife Janie of Boston; has 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 21 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, and son, William L. Hickey. The family will receive friends 4-6pm, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the funeral home.
