Born May 16, 1926 in St. Louis, MO. Went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2020 in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Haushalter. Beloved wife of Robert C. Leek, deceased 2007, having been united in marriage on May 28, 1947.
Dear mother of five sons: Bruce Edward (Beverly) of Cary, NC, William Curtis (Elizabeth) of Olathe, KS, Rodney Dale (Suzanne) of Creve Coeur, MO, Russell Dean (Bonnie) of Farmington, MO, and Thomas Carlos (Rebecca) of Rock Hill, MO. She also had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Sister of Edward Haushalter, deceased, and Thomas Haushalter (Verna), deceased. Sister-in-law of Margaret (John) Hines, deceased, and Delores (Jim) Coyle. Daughter-in-law of the late William and Augusta Leek.
Jane had a wonderful voice and loved to sing in the church choir and occasionally as a soloist. She also occasionally played the piano in church. She taught children of all ages and worked in the education profession in both public and private schools and in various capacities up until age seventy-nine.

Funeral service Monday, March 2, 2020, 10:00 AM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, Maplewood, MO. Interment following at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Visitation Sunday, March 1, 2020, 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home.
