Sidney H. Simpson ELKO Sidney H. Simpson. 88. died April 28, 1998. at Mountain View Care Center.
A native of Moroni, Utah, he was born Oct. 18, 1 909, to Angelo and Jane Simpson and had lived in Elko for the past 1 8 months, coming from McGill.
Simpson worked for Kennecott Copper Corp., for 47 years in McGill. He was hired as a boy laborer in 1925 and worked in the reduction plant laboratory, smelter and diary, becoming an electrician in 1949.
He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a Boy Scout master of McGill troop 63.
His wife, Ruth (Brotherson), died May 10, 1997.
Surviving are so,. Gary of Elko; sister, Francis Thayer of Salt Lake City: three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Inturnment is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Ely City Cemetery.
Cremation will be at Sunset Crematory, under the direction of Burn Funeral Home.
A memorial is being established w ith Home Health Sen ices of Nevada, c/o Mane Carrick, 685 Lvons Av e., Ely 89301.
