Died. In New Orleans, La., Saturday March 17, 1900, Mrs. S. J. Blossman, nee Burns, aged 51 years.
The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Burns, and was reared on the well-known Chubby Hill Plantation, eight miles north of Covington. She leaves a sorrowing husband, three sons, three daughters, and five brothers, the latter all prominent citizens of the Parish, and a host of friends to mourn her death. The funeral took place in New Orleans last Sunday afternoon. (St. Tammany Farmer, March 24, 1900)
