He was born in Putnam County, Tennessee on June 27, 1946 to the late Carson & Pauline Carmack Walker.
Gerald was a 1965 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God. He loved all his family and enjoyed watching Nascar Racing, NFL football, and westerns. Gerald had a love for square dancing and bowling.
Gerald leaves behind his loving wife, Mrs. Darlene Hilligos Walker of Evansville, IN; daughter, Mechelle Ziegenfuss & husband Chris of Wilmington, N.C.; sons, Darrin Walker & wife Catherine of Norrinton, PA, Jason Walker & wife Janie of Culleoka, TN, and Brady Gale of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Nicholas Labert, Shannon Ziegenfuss, Madison Ziegenfuss, Gavin Walker, Austin Walker, Ashley Walker, Bailey Walker, Caitlyn Walker, and Jason Walker, Jr.; great-grandchild, Lilliann Labert; brother, Gary Walker & wife Brenda; nephews, Ben & Brandon Walker.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Carson Walker, Jr.
Funeral Services were conducted Monday, March 2, 2020 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery.
