She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus & Fannie Curtis; two brothers, Robert & Bud; and three sisters, Frances, Annie Jane, and Martha.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Janet Goodson; one brother, Gene Curtis; four sisters, Amelia Mullinax, Edna Crawford, Mary McClure, and Marie Ramsey; two grandchildren, Christopher Evan Curtis and Casey Brook Curtis Ray; and three great grandchildren, Phoenix Sky Ray, Sabrie Devan Curtis, and Evan Ray Curtis.
She worked at Lea Industries for 15 years, at various nursing facilities, and then worked 10 years at Hardees as the Breakfast Manager. She was a very spunky, lively and friendly woman. She loved her family, friends, co-workers and customers, but her grand and great grandchildren were very special to her. Carolyn was the life and light of holiday gatherings, in her spare time she enjoyed reading westerns, watching tennis and wrestling.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life to held 2:30 pm Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Laurel Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Putnam officiating.
