With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Lisa Kay Browning Edwards, after a lengthy illness at William P Clement Jr. Hospital Dallas, Tx on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

Lisa was born in Many, Louisiana to Marilyn Dew Browning and Edward “Sonny” Browning Jr. on January 7, 1963. Lisa was raised in Natchitoches where she attended Natchitoches High School graduating Class of 1981.

Lisa worked various jobs throughout her young life, though her longest was general manager for Antoon's Riverfront Restaurant where she not only managed the restaurant but mentored many young Northwestern State University students that had the privilege of working for her.

Lisa was a dedicated wife, mother and Nana first and foremost. She treasured her husband, children, and grandchildren embracing every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana where her every moment was dedicated to making sure her grandchildren knew how much she loved them.

Lisa is the cherished wife of 38 years to Ricky Edwards of Provencal, LA. She is also the loving & devoted mother of Brandy Edwards LaCombe & husband Bradley of Marksville, LA. and Brandon Edwards & wife Monica of Provencal, LA, Goddaughter Lari Kay Jacobs, as well as Andria Morrow Smith who was like a daughter. Adored Nana to Jonathon Gorham, Jacob LaCombe, Jaiden Edwards, and Bentley Edwards. Dear sister of Michael “Mikey” Browning & wife Joanie of Gaston, South Carolina and Kimberly Browning English, husband Michael and niece Rylie Kay English of Farmers Branch, Texas. Also loving survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as honorary sons and daughters.

Preceded in death by her mother-in-law Zelma Rachal, brother-in-law Larry “Snake” Cook, nephew Brandon Via, maternal grandparents Fred and Elsie Dew, paternal grandparents Reverend Edward Browning Sr. and Mertie Browning.

Family & friends are invited to attend the viewing and memorial service on Saturday, February 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA.
