Matthew J. Blair, 33, of Uxbridge died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his home after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Born in Framingham on November 7, 1986, he was the son of James and Margaret “Peggy” (Reynolds) Blair.

Matthew was a resident of Uxbridge for the past two years and formerly resided in Taunton and Milford for many years.

He graduated from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton where he played football.

After graduating, Matthew earned a Certificate from the Porter & Chester Institute in Westboro and worked for R & G Pump Services for several years.

Matthew was a jack of all trades, loved fishing and enjoyed sports, especially basketball.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother John Blair of Uxbridge and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Medway Community Church, 193 Main Street in Medway on Saturday, March 7 at noon. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Medway.

In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in Matthew’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
