Flight Sergeant (Pilot) John Robert Brennan, R/72637 of 137th (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force died during WW11 in the service of his country. John was the pilot of a British Whirlwind fighter P7122 shot down by flak over Velsen village. He is memorialized in the Bergen General Cemetery, Kerkedijk Road, Noord-Holland, Netherlands.
