Mary Elizabeth Bellah Caldwell, 90, of Greenville, died Friday at a local nursing home.

Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Laddie Hixon officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.

Born Jan. 21, 1892, in Cumby, Mrs. Caldwell was the daughter of Jim and Laura Lane Akins. She married Ed Bellah Nov. 21, 1909. He preceded her in death June 30, 1945. She married A.L. Caldwell in January 1951. He preceded her in death March 3, 1969. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Donelton Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Luther Bellah of Dallas; daughters, Frances Strickland of Fort Worth and Beulah Patterson of Greenville; stepchildren, Hallie Mae Boykin and Elmer Caldwell, both of Greenville, Inez Akins of Dallas, Rosie Lee Smith of Grapevine and Dwayne Caldwell of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Joe Bellah and J.C. Bellah.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
