Obituary - Charles Wayne Davis November 29, 1944 - November 9, 2007 NORWICH - Charles Wayne Davis, 62, of 4 1/2 Elm Avenue died Friday at Westerly Hospital. He was born in Freeport, N.Y. on November 29, 1944 the son of the late Homer and Viola (McCabe) Davis. Wayne was employed most of his life as a carpenter having worked for local construction companies. He was last employed as a dealer at Mohegan Sun Casino before retiring. Survivors include his former wife Maureen Davis of Norwich, one son Jason Davis of Norwich, three daughters Tina Scepanski of Plainfield and Tracy Nye and Tara Morell both of Lisbon, one sister Marion McLaughlin of Hanover, five grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion Maureen Thorpe of Westerly, R.I. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover. Calling hours at the Guillot Funeral Home, 75 So. B. St., Taftville will be Tuesday from 6-8P.M.
