Jana Kay Jones, age 56, of Hot Springs won her courageous battle with cancer and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 22, 2015. She was born May 15, 1959, in Hot Springs to Virgil M. and Kay Holden Spurlin. She was a graduate of Hot Springs High School Class of 1977.
Jana was predeceased by her father and husband, Michael Jones.
She worked many years at several local day care centers. Her last employment was with Sam's Club. Her special smile will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Kay Spurlin; two daughters, Amanda K. Jones and Allison L. Jones; her sister, Pam Spurlin; two brothers, Ken Spurlin and Greg Spurlin; her grandchildren; Payton, Kali and Garrett Jones; aunts and uncles, Dick and Wanda Holden, Judy and Kenneth Castleberry, Lavern Fore, Alice Spurlin and Mary Jo Spurlin; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Honorary pallbearers include, Drs. Fred Divers, Igor De Castro, David Pruitt, William S. Cole, nurses and staff of Genesis Cancer Center, St Vincent ICU and Arkansas Hospice.
A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with Brother John Graves and assisted by Brother Lynn Baxter.
