She was the daughter of Benjamin Faison Barnhill and Alma (Carter) Barnhill. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Guy William Prosper, Sr., a retired Pentecostal preacher. In addition to her husband, is survived by her son and daughter; a sister; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Thorpe and Elizabeth Lockamy; and her brother, Buddy Barnhill. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmington, NC with Pastor Merrell McKoy officiating.
