Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Norma and his sister Dianna Burgess.
Bruce lived most of his life in Kansas City, KS where he went to Shawnee Mission East High school, attended Johnson County Community College and The American Management Association. His successful award winning sales career path, led him to 30 years as an Executive of Sales and Training in the fields of life insurance, and a broad spectrum of medical supplies.
Bruce was the oldest of 4 siblings and the BEST big brother one could ever have. He was a solid definition of a very caring and loving father and husband. He was a traditional gentleman that was wonderfully mannered, considerate, always kind and supportive of his family. He was President of the Olathe Youth Soccer in the mid-80’s and coached his son’s soccer team. He often expressed his sincere passions through many varieties of music genres, especially his favorite band, the Moody Blues, classical and love of jazz. In his later years, Bruce invested in a classic Yamaha Tenor Saxophone and took lessons from KC’s local Joe Miquelon, Musician/Teacher/Arranger/Producer. He enjoyed cooking and BBQ’ing for family and friends. A sports lover, Bruce was a lifelong KU Basketball fan and diehard KC Chief’s fan.
