Janice Rose (Jannie) Winder Sandwick, 76, passed away October 7, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah due to Heart Ailments. Born Sept. 16, 1930, to Williamm Charles and Bessie Anderson Winder, just minutes before her beloved twin, Judy. She attended East High and the U of U, where she was an excellent student and well known as one of the "beautiful Winder twins." Jannie married Lowell B. (Sandy) Sandwick and had four children: Stephen, Elizabeth, Marc, and Suzanne. They later divorced. Jan had successful careers with GMAC, Pykettes, and American Express, where she received many special recognitions for her exceptional work, but she received her greatest pride and joy from her precious family and treasured friends. She was amazingly intelligent, witty, delightful, and an enduring example of unconditional love. Jan was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also loyal, generous, and loving to all who knew her. She will be missed dearly by all. Survived by children: Liz (Jim) Stanfield, Marc (Joyce) Sandwick, and Sue (Tanja) Sandwick, all of Salt Lake City; six adored grandchildren: Ryan (Emily), Jared (Jessica), Marcus, Ben, Madeleine, and Nicholas; brother, Jack Winder; sister, Joyce Winder Seare; and many precious nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen; parents; brothers: Dr. Wm. C. Winder III and Robert A. Winder; twin sister, Judy Winder Nelson Motta. Heartfelt and wonderful thanks to the Nelson family, family and friends and the funeral home for their kind and generous help and support.
