Camille W. McMaster Smith, 84, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at her home. She was born Feb. 28, 1928, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth McFarland McMaster.

Camille was a lifelong resident of Connellsville and was a graduate of Connellsville High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Camille is survived by her sons, Charles Smith, of Vanderbilt, and Kevin Smith and wife, Cindy, of Coal Center; her grandchildren, Lynn Smith, Laura Poleski, Charles Smith Jr., Trenton Porterfield and Kevin Smith Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Johnny Hough, Selby Bell, Grady and Olivia Poleski, Tess and Aidan Porterfield, and Aralyn and Madison Smith; and her sisters, Sandra Dolan, of Harrisburg, and Sarah Brynes and husband, Jim, of Torrance, Calif.

In addition to her parents, Camille was predeceased by her husband, Francis Edward Smith, on Oct. 7, 2010; a great-grandchild, Owen Hunter Smith; and a sister, Shirley Desmond.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, (724-628-1430), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Lee Maley officiating.
