Arthur was born April 12, 1932 in Blue Island to the late Delfina V. nee Vasquez and Louis Salazar. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Korea. Arthur was devoted to his family, he was a wonderful husband and father. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern University in 1978. Arthur was employed as a tour superintendent for the US Post Office for forty-five years and also was a bookkeeper and tax preparer, owning his own business for over thirty-five years. He was a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). Arthur was an avid fan of both the Bulls and the Bears.
Visitation for Arthur will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
