He was born August 2, 1939, to Oliver and Ella (Blackburn) Fox, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; sister, Frances Dyer; and brothers, Louie, Larry and Robert Fox.
Ray enjoyed music and karaoke. He was the lead singer for Ray Fox and the Hollywood Bums. He was an avid pet lover. He loved animals and especially enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels.
He is survived by his companion, Leona “Sis”; sons, Raymond (Gail) Fox, Jr. and Dwayne (Kim) Fox; daughters, Candy Brown and Sandy Brown; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Rose) Fox and Walt (Cathy) Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2020 at Oak Ridge Chapel Mausoleum, with Reverend Wilson Douglas officiating.
