Mollie Minerva Kolenovsky, 91, a resident of Irving for seventy years, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at a Dallas hospital. Born March 21, 1928 in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Pace and Annie Steward Pace. As a young woman, she packed parachutes for the Civil Air Patrol in 1943. She married Arnold Valentine Kolenovsky November 24, 1948 in Dallas. He died October 28, 2012. She was a retired bookkeeper and member of Oak View Baptist Church. She was known for doing unusual things in her later years. She had many tattoos; she was skydiving in her late 80's and loved to whistle. She was a former contestant in the Ms. Mature Irving Pageant.

Number seven of ten children, her siblings were Wayne, Ben, Jim, Dorothy, Eula, Josephine, George, Charles, and Neal. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter Judith Elaine, she is survived by daughters, Margaret Noll and husband Donald of Grant City, MO, Anna Hoppe and husband Larry of Honda, TX; sons, Michael Kolenovsky of Dallas, Gary Kolenovsky of Albany, MO, and Jim Kolenovsky and wife Alyce of New Mexico; brothers, George
Pace and Charles Pace; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A graveside funeral will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Grove Hill Cemetery, 3920 Samuell Blvd. in Dallas, Texas 75228. Dr. Jim Gerlach of Oak View Baptist Church will officiate.
