William Monroe “Billy” Dodd, Jr. age 57of Shannon, passed away Sunday February 23, 2020.

Billy was born October 25, 1962 in Savannah, Ga. a son Janice Evans Dodd, and the late William Monroe Dodd Sr. He was of the Baptist Faith and was employed by Cost-Low Tree Service for over 20 year the past 2 years with F&P. He was preceded in death by his father, William Dodd, Sr.

Survivors include his son, Jordan (Jordan Trammell) Womack, mother, Janice Evans Dodd, his companion, Nolene Puritt, sisters, Johnna (Gary) Clonts, Tammy (Tommy) Fuller, grandchildren, Alyssa Womack, Clayton Womack, and his beloved dog, Bink Bink, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday March 1, 2020, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Matthew Reynolds, officiating. Interment will follow in Morning View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and asked to meet at the funeral home by 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, Randy Elkins, Josh Dotson, Derrick Dotson, Jordan Womack, Adrian Elkins, and Cody Long.

Parnick Jennings, Sr. Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
