Raymond Edward Perkins, 88, husband of the late Pauline Gay McGaughey Perkins, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at his home in Lawrenceburg. Born December 8, 1931 in Morehead, KY, Raymond was the son of Clarence E. and Versie Perkins.
Along with his wife and parents, Raymond was preceded in death by two step sons, Earl Wayne McGaughey and James Lee McGaughey, and ten brothers and sisters.
Raymond was a retired Tech Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam and Korean era. Raymond was best known in Lawrenceburg area for his work as a Commonwealth Insurance Agent and a builder of storage buildings.
Raymond is survived by his two children, Clarence (Nancy) Perkins of Lawrenceburg and Karen (Troy) Jones of Virginia Beach, VA; a step-daughter, Gayla (Kenneth) Powell of Lawrenceburg; his friend and caregiver, Lisa Walker of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Grace; 4 grandchildren, Travis, Shannon, Alan, and Chasity; 6 step-grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; and 3 step great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 29th beginning at 10 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
