Gordon Ray Gibson, 73, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, February, 25, 2020, at Harmony Court Nursing & Rehab in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the widower of Debbie Gibson.
Born in Fleming County on December 12, 1946, he was a son of the late Autie and Sarah Fraley Gibson.
Gordon enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid horticulturist and fisherman. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and UK basketball. For over 30 years he was an over-the-road truck driver with a five million mile safe driving record.
He is survived by his children, Joseph (Shawna) Gibson, Monica (Isaac) Gosselin, Paula (Larry) Smith, Tim (Kim) Pence, and Melissa (Rich) Martin; his grandchildren, Violet, Aubrey, and Preston Gibson, Arlo Gosselin, Tiffany (Allen) Cox, and Amber Pence, and Cody and Nathan Cutter; and his great grandchild, Storm Grace. He is also survived by his siblings, Gary (Connie) Gibson and Bill Gibson; and his brother-in-law, Bill Hillis.
In addition to his wife Debbie and his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his siblings, James Gibson, Wilma Hillis, and Joyce Holbrook Mignierey, his sister-in-law, Christine Gibson; and his brother-in-law, Julian Holbrook.
Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Brown officiating.
Gordon will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
In place of flowers memorial donations are suggested to Fleming County Adult Day Care (203 High St. Flemingsburg, KY 41041).
