Also surviving are 4 children, Mike Hoogenboom, Denver, Colorado, Lori Weigert, Warwick, Rhode Island, John (Donna) Hoogenboom, Goshen, Tim (Laura) Hoogenboom, Goshen, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a brother, Cornelius “Cork” (Shirley) Hoogenboom, Goshen.
Preceding Albert in death were his parents, 7 siblings, and a great-granddaughter, Angel Rose West.
He served in the US Army and was discharged on December 2, 1946. He later worked as a plumbing supply salesman for Mid-City Supply in Elkhart. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Goshen. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, gardening, walking, working puzzles, playing with grandchildren, traveling in the RV, and music.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 with a service following at 12 p.m. all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Tim Fisher and Pastor Ryan Stroop of Crossroads Community Church will officiate. Private Burial for immediate family will follow a light lunch.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association and mailed to 311 S. Main St., Goshen, IN 46526.
