GARDINER - Lou Merton Harris, 82, died in a local rest home Saturday night. He was born in Caribou April 2, 1868, the son of Charles and Abbie Moody Harris. He is survived by one sister, Winnie Harris, Hyannis, Mass. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday from Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner [Kennebec Journal, issue of April 24, 1950]

GARDINER- Funeral services for Lou M. Harris were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Staples Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilfred Mulley, pastor of the Nazarene Church, officiating. The remains were placed in a private vault at the funeral home pending burial arrangements. [Kennebec Journal, issue of April 26, 1950]
