Anita Lyn Wilkinson Dunn, 59, of Orange, Texas, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, in Beaumont, Texas. Lyn battled cancer with courage and strength; she fought the good fight to the very end. Her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ took her home and healed her permanently.

Lyn was born January 20, 1959, in Orange, Texas, to Marvin M. Wilkinson and Josie (Gomez) Wilkinson. Lyn grew up in Orange, graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville High School and attended Texas A&M University in College Station. Lyn worked for many years at Joann’s Fabrics. Lyn had a great talent as a seamstress and taught sewing classes at Joann’s. Lyn always had two or three projects in the works until the very end. Lyn also enjoyed cooking and we will all miss her Monster cookies. Lyn will be affectionately remembered as a loving mom, mamaw, daughter, sister, and friend.

Lyn was preceded in death by her father, Marvin M. Wilkinson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Sadie (Shane) Horrocks, and her precious grand-daughters Ava Lyn and Hailey Jo of Rio Hondo, Texas, Lyn’s mother, Josie Tipton of Orange, Texas, siblings, Steve (Amy) Wilkinson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Barry Wilkinson of Spring, Texas, Debbie (Gary) Lassiere of Lafayette, Louisiana, Jimmie (Elaine) Tipton of Orangefield, Texas, Bubba (Laura) Tipton of Orange, Texas, as well as numerous other loving family members.

The family wishes to thank all at Harbor Hospice for their kindness and care during this time.

The family will be having a memorial service for Lyn at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Little Cypress Baptist Church. Friends will be received beginning at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Little Cypress Baptist Church or the charity of choice.
