Mr. Henry Moore, Jr.
February 23, 1950 ~ February 21, 2020 (age 69)

HENRY (Bubba) Moore, Jr., age 69, of Benton, LA was born to Henry & Hattie Mae Moore on February 23, 1950. He succumbed to complications of long-term illness on February 21, 2020 at WK Bossier.

HENRY believed and was baptized in faith at an early age. After graduating from C. H. Irion in 1969, he was drafted into the U. S. Army where he served two years. He was honorably discharged and served for a time in the Reserves.

HENRY married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Lou, on February 17, 1973. To this union of 47 years two sons were born, Ondrell and Shane. Henry retired from the Bossier Parish School Board after more than 30 years of service.

HENRY was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Though he never got to hold him, he was excited about his infant great grandson and his face would light up at seeing pictures and videos. He loved to fish, and he enjoyed spending time with his friends in his man cave. To everyone in Benton and surrounding neighborhoods, he was known as beloved BUBBA.

Precious memories will be cherished by his wife, Lou of Benton; sons, Ondrell (Tawanda) and Shane (friend, Ariel) of Benton; granddaughters, Nashara (Brandon) Mayhew, of McKinney, TX, and Devyn of Benton; great grandson, Knox Harlan of McKinney; siblings, Mary L. Kidd of Longview, TX and Michael (Rene) Moore of San Antonio, TX; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Williams, Jan (Raven) Smith, and Marie Slaughter; brothers-in-law George Hall, James (Susie) Powell, Gary (Leslie) Powell, and Ricky Galloway; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
