After their children were grown, their careers in the computer industry took them to England, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, South Africa, Australia, and other locales. Gayle and Wally loved travelling and seeing the world, but more than anything else, they loved their family.
Gayle and Wally retired to Natchitoches, LA in 2004 to be closer to their family. Gayle is survived by her sons, Bill and his wife Janet of Houston, Troy and his wife Paty of Mexico City, Mark and his wife Laura of Natchitoches, and also her seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister LuDean, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wallace Swanstrom, her parents Ivan and Eria Anderson, and her brother Larry Anderson.
