Patsy May Herschbach,of Bovey, Minn., died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota, on her 69th birthday.


Patsy was born in 1938 in Grand Rapids, Minn. to Walter and Golda Fox. She graduated in 1956 from Grand Rapids High School. On June 23, 1956, she married Roger Herschbach in Grand Rapids. Patsy lived in various cities across the United States but following Roger's retirement, she retired to Bovey. She was active with Trout Lake Community Center. Patsy enjoyed crafts, sewing, fishing, painting and drawing, bird watching, gardening, baking, country music and dancing. She loved to play jokes on people. Most of all, Patsy, also known as "Grammy Angel" to her grandchildren, loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.


Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Joy Webb.


She is survived by her husband, Roger; her daughters, Dawn (Steven) Heikkila of Ishpeming, Mich., Darcy (Michael) Gay of Crookston, Minn.; her sons, Darren (Connie) Herschbach of Bovey, Minn., Dana (Dawn Renee) Herschbach of Grand Rapids, Minn., Dean Herschbach of Warba, Minn.; a sister, Golda (Paul) Hagen of Grand Rapids, Minn.; three brothers, Walt (Dee) Fox of Dora Lake, Minn., Wally (Peg) Fox of Hill City, Minn., Ray (Karen) Fox of Hill City, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
