Daye was born in Shreveport, LA on March 31, 1974. She was daughter of the late Steve Dickerson and Cookie Dickerson of Shreveport, LA. She is the paternal granddaughter of James Dickerson, the late Maxine Dickerson and the late Wanda Dickerson. She is the maternal granddaughter of the late Ernest and Mary Ann Crum. She is survived by one sister, Ramee Dickerson and her spouse Kelly Dickerson and their Daughter, Marcy Ann Dixon. Daye grew up in Coushatta LA where she attended Riverdale Academy before moving to Shreveport where she graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1992. She finished her education with a Bachelor’s degree from LSUS. After graduating she worked in the pharmaceutical sales industry. Most recently, Daye was best knowns as the face of Hillcrest Blueberry Farm Store. She loved her customers and they loved her often getting a big hug. Daye had people come to the store just to visit with her as she could sense they just wanted someone to talk with them. She had a smile that could light up a room and a personality just as big. To know Daye was to love her. Daye was a Member of Fellowship Community Church in Gloster, LA. She leaves behind her husband of 15 years, Chris Alexander and her Daughter Holland Alexander, her pride and joy. She also is survived by step children Brian Alexander, to whom she was like a mother, and his partner Makayla Edmonson; step daughter, Laura Chapman and her husband Roy and step son, Derrick Alexander; 6 grandchildren, Brystal Carroll, Jaxxon Carroll, Evee Jo Chapman, Luke Chapman and Identical Twins Baylor and Bennett Alexander.
Serving as Pallbearers are Daye’s step sons, Brian Alexander and Derrick Alexander; uncle, Craig Dickerson; cousin, Stephen Craig Dickerson and longtime Family friends, Joel Harris and Mark Burford.
