Services for Mrs. Angelia Gainey Knight will be held 3:00 pm Friday, February 28, 2020 at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sebastopol. Burial will be held in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Mrs. Linda Howell will be officiating.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Mrs. Angelia Gainey Knight was born on August 29th, 1944 in Union, MS

She enjoyed traveling to California and everywhere in between with her husband Charles Knight, Sr. for 53 years. She loved to cook for family and friends. She loved to shop and find a good bargain. She was gifted at teaching children as a teacher’s aide, Sunday School teacher, teacher at Camp Bailey, Director of Day Care at West Lauderdale High School, and the day care she supplied for many family members and friends. She could find multiple uses for any item with her creativity and making use of what she had.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and known to many as “Nana” and others as “Aunt Annie.” She was a kind, caring woman who loved life and her family.

She is survived by:
Husband – Charles L. Knight, Sr.
Daughter – Melissa Knight
Son – Charles L. Knight, Jr. and her daughter-in-love Tracey Knight
Sisters – Wynette McBeath and Debra Gainey
Brothers – Malcolm Gainey and spouse “Dot” and Jimmy Gainey and spouse Vicky
Sisters-in-law – Gloria Knight, Carolyn Knight
Brothers-in-law – Bill Waldrop, Dewayne Knight, Robbie Knight and spouse Mev
Along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by:
Mother – Merle Morrow Gainey
Father – Troy Gainey
Sister – Sue Gainey Broussard
Mother and Father -in-love – Amelia and Lewis Knight
Sister-in-laws – Barbara Jean Waldrop and Karen Knight
Brother-in-law – Kenneth McBeath, Jim Knight

She made friends everywhere she went and they became family to her. She enjoyed a good conversation and never met a stranger.

Her favorite verse Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose.

She will be missed.
