Gerald Eugene Stewart, 86, of Connelly Spring passed away on Sunday February 23, 2020 at his residence after a period of declining health.
Mr. Stewart was born February 22, 1934 in Greene County, IND , a son of the late Jesse Floyd and Jessie Anna Mower Stewart.
He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, the NRA, a US Army Veteran and retired as a machinist from General Motors.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Metsger Stewart, a sister Peggy June and two brothers Edgar and Rex Lee.
Funeral Services for Gerald Eugene Stewart will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 27, 2020 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Ken Niewulis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Connelly Springs.
The family will receive friends from1:30 until 2:00 PM Thursday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
