Marvin Franklin Williams, Jr., 92, of Jesup, GA died Friday, February 21, 2020. The Ben Hill County native lived in Jesup, GA for the past 45 years. He was retired from Rayonier where he was a forestry district manager. Mr. Williams earned his bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of Georgia. He proudly served his country with the Army and Air Force as an Army sergeant and aircraft mechanic. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean McClellan Williams and daughter, Marla Jean Williams.
Survivors include his son Marvin F. (Anne) Williams, III of Oxford, MS and grandsons, Christopher Williams of Oxford, MS and Matthew Williams of Stamford, CT.
Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, GA. A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later date. Special thanks to his caregivers Cindy Flowers and Amy Jones of Jesup. Additional thanks to Hospice of South Georgia for providing care.
