Dedicated on November 19, 1906, the monument marks the position of the Iowa 6th on its charge up Tunnel Hill, November 25, 1863. The 50 foot monument located on the north edge of Missionary Ridge, also list the Union regiments of the Iowa 5th, 10th and 17th.
