On January 26, 1930 in Lee County, Georgia, the union of the late Primus Bryant and the late Emma Lou Harvey Bryant, was blessed with the birth of a daughter. This blessing was named Janie Lou.

She completed her education at an early age. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Mount Middleton Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Josiah Talley. She later moved her membership to the Antioch Baptist Church. At Antioch, she served faithfully as an Usher until her health prevented her from doing so.

During the 1960s, Sister Williams was actively involved in the Order of Eastern Star. She served as Worthy Matron of Chapter 117.

She retired from M&M Mars after 20 years of faithful employment. Later, she enjoyed the fellowship with her senior group at the R. S. Boney Senior Citizens Center. Known for always wearing a smile, she will be remembered as one of the “sweetest people” you ever wanted to meet.

A great cook, she specialized in Caramel cakes, Cinnamon Rolls, and her famous White Chocolate Pecan Delight. Homemade ice cream, yeast rolls, and butter rolls were also amongst her favorite things to prepare as well.

On July 14, 1948, she was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Silas Williams, Sr. Together they shared their lives until his passing on November 10, 2007. He, along with their son, Mr. Silas Williams, Jr., and her siblings, Mrs. Georgia Mae Gibson, Mr. James Bryant, and Mr. Primus Bryant, Jr., precede her in death.
