Vera C. Stover, 89, of Centre Crest nursing home in Bellefonte, formerly of Aaronsburg, died Wednesday, February 4, 1998, at Centre Crest.
She was born May 4, 1908 in Haines Township, a daughter of the late Cloyd and Lydia A. Corman Dinges. On August 24, 1933, she married Lowell B. Stover, who died October 29, 1963. On November 11, 1964, she married John A. Stover, who died April 17, 1986.
She was valedictorian of the class of 1927 at Millheim High School. She worked at the former Millheim Hosiery Mill and with her husband Lowell, owned and operated LB Stover Garage in Aaronsburg. She was a lifelong member of St. Peters United Church of Christ. She was survived by nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Florida and Colorado.
Her funeral was held at St. Peters United Church of Christ, Aaronsburg, with the Reverend Dr. Virginia Rye officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Millheim.
Arrangements were under the direction of Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim.
