The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. in the sanctuary of the Hilltop Church of Christ in Cordele, Georgia.
The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
On July 12, 1951, Freddie Lee Holmes was born to the late Mr. Elijah Holmes and the late Mrs. Exie Kinchen Holmes. He was born in Dooly County, Georgia and the family later moved to Cordele, Georgia.
Freddie was educated in the public schools of Crisp County, Georgia. He accepted Christ and worshipped at the Church of Christ.
He was a happy spirit, who loved joking and laughing with his family and friends. He had a special way of making others laugh. While it was true he always spoke his mind, he would still help and give to others when they were in need. He will forever be remembered for the love he had for his family and how he would be the life of the party at family gatherings.
On Friday, August 3, 2018, he peacefully transitioned from this life at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Ms. Jasmine Boatwright; his siblings, Ms. Ollie Bell Holt, Ms. Niniv H. Hudson, Ms. Pearline Williams, and Mr. Willie James Holt.
