Sharon Lynette (Ficke) Curtis was born March 5, 1961 in Seward, Nebraska to Wesley Henry and Janice Arlene (Bluhm) Ficke and passed away at home on November 16, 2007 at the age of 46 years, 8 months, 11 days. Sharon was a 1979 graduate of Milford High School.
On July 5, 1980, Sharon was united in marriage to Timothy William Curtis at Faith Lutheran Church in Seward. To this union three sons were born, Evan, Cori and Jordan. Sharon had been employed since 1999 as a Para Educator in the Title I Reading Program of the Milford Public Schools and she was also an assistant with special needs students. Sharon was a member of Beth-El Mennonite Church in Milford where she served as the song director for Vacation Bible School and had taught Sunday School for many years. Sharon and Tim were co-directors of God's Partners for three years.
Sharon was preceded in death by an infant brother, Steven W. Ficke; her mother-in-law, Ruth J. Curtis and her grandparents.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Tim Curtis of Milford; their sons, Evan, Cori and Jordan Curtis, all of Milford; her parents, Wes and Janice Ficke of Milford; her sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Greg Roth of Milford and their daughters, Sharon's nieces, Jamie and Kellie Roth; father-in-law, Reid H. Curtis, Milford; brothers-in-law and spouses, Reid D. and Susan Curtis of Lincoln and David G. and Ildiko Curtis of Lampasas, Texas; niece and nephews; aunts and uncles and a host of friends.
