Kim Allan Swanson "Swanie" died Sunday, January 19, 2020 in Perham, MN at age 64. Swanie was born February 24, 1955 in DeKalb Illinois to Gordon and Dolly Swanson.

Surviving are two sisters, Becky (and Joe) Kroll of Minneapolis and Susie (and Mark) Sommars of Peoria, Illinois. Swanie is also survived by a very special friend Holly Rudolph, Vergas, Minnesota and by many family and friends. His parents and one brother, Tommy passed on before him.

Swanie never married but had many family and friends. Swanie graduated in 1974 from Peoria High School. He had been a resident of Otter Tail County near Big McDonald Lake for more than 35 years. He loved that lake as well as cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, boats and airplanes. He was a skilled mechanic. Swanie was accorded cremation and his ashes were buried in Weimann's Cemetery in Vergas, Otter Tail County with his mother and father. A graveside service was held on 18 July 2020, delayed because of the Corona Virus pandemic. Arrangements handled by Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service, Perham, Minnesota.
