Keith C. “Jake” Stephens, 61, of New Matamoras, OH passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 30, 1958 in Bellevue, PA, the son of Gerald Eugene Stephens and Doris Jean White.

Jake retired from the U.S. Air Force and from Fiscal Services in Parkersburg where he had worked as an IT Specialist. He had graduated from Beaver Area High School in Beaver, PA, was a member of the American Legion Post 378 in New Matamoras and was a junior Matamoras Fireman. He was also an avid musician.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Harpold Stephens; six children, Christopher Paul Stephens (Mollie) of Marietta, OH, Delaney Dominiak of Newport, OH, Kelli McVey Chovan (Chase) of Marietta, OH, Michael Alan McVey of Tarboro, NC, Sean McDermott of New Matamoras, OH, Megan McDermott of Long Beach, CA; a grandson, Michael McVey-Bolivar of Tarboro, NC; a sister, Doreen Palmer (Randy) of Dallas, TX and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Jean Casio.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Hadley Funeral Home New Matamoras Chapel, 700 Main St., with John Felton officiating. Burial to follow in Matamoras Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.
