Ernest Hardman of McMinnville died June 8, 1998, in his home. He was 79. At his request, no services will be held.
He was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Unity, the son of Oliver M. and Elsie Tureman Hardman.
He and Kathryn Cattle were married on Oct. 4, 1941, in Payette, Idaho.
Mr. Hardman served as a Navy Seabee in World War II.
A graduate of the Oregon State University School of Forestry, he worked for 32 years as a forester for the U.S. Forest Service, Department of Agriculture.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Hardman of Gresham and Ryland Hardman of Marysville, Wash.; a brother, Wallace Hardman of Baker City; two sisters, Catherine Howell of Baker City and Marjorie Rimbey of Bellevue, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
