Ralph Hamilton, 81, of Richmond departed this life on January 9 in a Richmond hospital.

Ralph leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Irene Hamilton, daughters: Charlotte Hamilton Ortiz (Carlos) of Philadelphia, PA, Eileen Harmon Redmond of Oxon Hill, MD, Celeste Harmon, Caneika Tillman (deceased) and devoted daughter, Sharita Whitehead and son-in-law (Robert) of Richmond; sons: Tyrone Kennard and Gregory Hamilton of Philadelphia, PA and Ralph Harmon of Richmond; and a step daughter, Dr. Roblyn Lewter of Washington, DC. He is also survived by several grandchildren, among them devoted, Diamond Flippen of Richmond, one aunt, Lucille Hall of Tappahannock, and a host of other relatives and friends; among them his sister-in-law, Barbara Shepperson who always welcomed him with open arms and he felt so at home.

There will be a viewing on Saturday, January 18 from 9 - 11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 615 Zion Church Rd., King & Queen Courthouse with the funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. The interment will be in the church cemetery
