Bobbie Lois Barnett, 90, of Attalla passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday March 15, 2019 at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Brother Larry Garrard will be officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Holly Pond Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel will be directing the service.

Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jim Barnett; parents, Willie and Russell Washburn; brother Elmus Washburn; mother and father in law, Alford and Katie Barnett; brothers in law, Carnell Countryman and Howard Sitz. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Danny) Roberson; granddaughter Shane (Michael) Prickett; great grandson, Taylor (Jolene) Prickett; sisters, Imogene Countryman and Sybil Sitz; nieces, Lisa (David) Wilson, Debi Washburn; nephews, David Sitz, Mike Washburn and special great nephew Kameron Wilson.

Bobbie was born and raised in Gallant. She was a faithful member of Cherry Street Baptist Church for over 60 years. She taught Sunday School for 22 years. She enjoyed working with young people. Bobbie graduated from Etowah High School in 1947 and went on to graduate from the Holy Name of Jesus Hospital Nursing School in 1949 and worked with Pediatric Doctors in Gadsden for many years. She finished her career with Dr. T.M. Owens of Attalla. She was chairperson of Etowah High School class of 1947 reunions and was also a substitute teacher at Etowah High School. She and husband, Bill were members of the Gadsden Antique Auto Club. She directed 14 vintage fashion shows for the club. She did ceramics and oil painting and loved to travel.

Pallbearers will be Michael Prickett Taylor Prickett, Tyler Pankey, David and Kameron Wilson. Danny Roberson. Honorary pallbearer David Sitz.

Special thanks to all those at Northside Healthcare and Rehab that loved and cared for her. they were not just caregivers they were friends. Thanks for the wonderful care she received from Lacy, Sarah, Brooklyn, Carmen, Monica and Dakota at Amedisys Hospice
